IEEE P7014: Ethical considerations in Emulated Empathy in Autonomous and Intelligent Systems

Recent weeks have seen Andrew involved with the launch of a new Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers group to study emotional AI and technologies that simulate empathy (understanding of emotions, affect and perspective). It is named P7014 (under the P7000 series that deals with ethics concerns during systems design. (Also see Ethically Aligned Design report (p91 onwards) that came out of P7000 work.)
