Contribution to open access book (5RightsFoundation and the Digital Futures Commission)

The 5RightsFoundation and the Digital Futures Commission have assembled this brilliant open access book, written by authors from academia, industry and policy. With contribution from us, we assess the automation of empathy in education, policy implications, and the role of the UNCRC’s General Comment 25. We conclude that while there is exciting scope for new technologies education (especially of the mixed reality sort), any labelling or processing of data about child emotion should be prohibited, irrespective of whether a child’s data is legally “personal” or not.
